Sweet Potato Fries
Sweet potato fries are very easy to make and go great with soup and salad as the MedChefs ate them during an event or alone as a snack. The types of seasonings and sauces you can pair with them are almost limitless. Eat them savory, sweet or simply plain.
-Sweet or savory seasonings of choice
-Dipping sauce of choice
Preheat your oven to 425F. Start by washing your potatoes in a sink filled with water. I like to use a brush and peeling combination tool to thoroughly scrub the dirt and rid all skin from the potatoes.
As you cut the sweet potato into to long, slender fries, keep them soaking in a bowl of cold water. One potato will yield about two servings or a large order if you were to equate it to fast food restaurant portion sizes.
Lightly oil your fries with olive oil to prevent sticking and spread evenly on a foil covered baking sheet. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt or add your favorite seasoning blend at this time. Cook them for 25 mins flipping them half way through cooking.
